Pete Kilbane...My Tribute to the KING
Introduction :
I first heard Elvis singing when i was 3yrs old & I been hooked ever since.
I saw the 68 tv special then 73 aloha special when they were shown then just bought every record i could, bought all video's, cd's, dvd's you name i got it. First combed my hair and slicked back at 13yrs and used to wear 50's style clothes including white shoes when at school, my friends that know me can verify that. As the years went by my passion for Elvis grew and grew and i used to go and see Elvis Tribute Artists, and in (2006) a friend told me if i don't have a go at performing i might regret it in later life so that is why i decided to become an Elvis Tribute Artist myself and keep the name and music of Elvis Presley alive, i still watch other Elvis performers and have great respect for them as we are all paying tribute to Elvis in our own individual way.
What Happened Next :
First went to Blackpool 2007 to watch the european Elvis championships and entered the novice section, a great experience and was told by many Eta's to keep it up as i had good prospects, i am not bothered about winning anything but the experience and the people you meet there are brilliant. Got into the Elvis Battle of the south competition and got into the final which was great as i made a whole lot more friends and all the people there were really enjoying themselves and a good time was had by all over the weeks it took place.
